Nature Aquarium Gallery
a Place for Practice and Management
Daily Scene at the Nature Aquarium Gallery
The Nature Aquarium Gallery is open to the public on Saturdays, Sundays and Japanese public holidays. On other days, the staff generally brush up on their skill of aquarium management by checking the condition of the aquariums, changing the water and trimming the plants. This gallery also plays a role as an experimental facility for sampling various product data. Daily practice and verification are carried out here in the Nature Aquarium Gallery.
Practice and Exhibition of Growth of Wabi-Kusa
In this season, a number of plant glasses containing wabi-kusa are placed at the sunny window side recess of the Nature Aquarium Gallery. These items are exhibited whenever the gallery is open without any special arrangement so that they can be viewed as an example of plant growth and products.
Management of Mini Aquarium
A variety of sample layouts are created in the Nature Aquarium Gallery to propose many ways to enjoy mini aquariums using wabi-kusa. Our daily maintenance work will show you how to avoid bottlenecks and gain know-how on the proper maintenance of aquariums.
Washing Facilities in the Nature Aquarium Gallery
All the glass equipment is washed on a weekly basis. As a large number of items are used in the gallery, it is a big hassle for the staff to wash them but now they are familiar with it and can do it quite easily!
Metal Halide Lamp and Heat Dissipation Measure
Metal halide lamps are used in the Nature Aquarium Gallery and the heat generated by these lamps tends to be trapped inside the embedded-type aquarium located at the entrance. To solve this problem, heat-radiation slits are made as a heat dissipation measure.
The Heart of the Cabinet
The inner side of the wood cabinet, which accommodates the Super Jet Filter and CO2 System Tower in a size fitted for the aquarium, can be seen at the Nature Aquarium Gallery. These items are essential for the long-term maintenance of aquariums.
Cart for Maintenance Tools
Basic tools necessary for aquarium maintenance are all stored in this single cart. As you can see, there are many different types of brushes in it. Constantly in use, this cart is certainly a tool box for professionals.
Filling Water
When changing or adding water in the aquarium, the water is poured at one stretch using a hose connected to the NA Water (water purification system) as there are many aquariums in the gallery. If only a small amount of water is to be changed, the water is poured with a pail using a neutralizer such as Chlor Off.
Staff in Discussion
The space with tables at the Nature Aquarium Gallery is usually used as a place for staff to have their meetings. The staff does their work, including sales and planning meetings in a wonderful environment surrounded by aquariums. In such a relaxed aquarium atmosphere they can do their work tirelessly.
